Drive to Al Aqqa
Dear Member,
Welcome to the start of a new season for the Porsche Club – UAE!
Now that summer has come to an end, to kick off the 2009/2010 Season the Committee would like you to join us for the first drive of the new season. The event is a fantastic drive on Friday, October 23, 2009. Please read the following E-mail for full details.
We're off to Fujairah, and will be using a route which is an old favorite of the club and its members.
For the new season, we are going to be using a new venue as the meeting and starting point for this exciting drive! This new venue is the stylish and centrally located Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai. We will head out from the Grand Hyatt towards the desert and onto some of the finest mountain roads the Emirates has to offer which will take us to the East Coast of the UAE, driving through the Hajjar Mountains to finally arrive to the other side of the country witnessing some beautiful scenery along the way. However, it will be hard to keep your eyes on the scenery with the sight of the Porsche convoy in your rearview mirror.
Our destination on the East Coast is the Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort. Nestled between the majestic Hajjar Mountains and the deep blue sea of the Indian Ocean provides a unique serene setting right on Al Aqah Beach. Upon arrival at this venue, we will indulge in a superb buffet lunch and then take a break to spend some time to relax by the swimming pool or sit on the beach. So bring your swim suits if you want to take a dip in the pool or the Indian Ocean. Towels will be provided by the Hotel.
At around 4:30 pm we will leave Fujairah and continue on another quicker route back that will bring us to Dubai.
